New Brighton is the community for people on the go.
A lilac and tree-lined boulevard draws you toward the fantastic and sprawling 20-acre central park at the heart of New Brighton. New Brighton Drive loops through the entire community providing scenic views of the manicured park, open green spaces, gardens and pathways as it sweeps past the edge of the 20-acre Brighton Pond.

New Brighton has a population of 8,303 living in 3,247 dwellings, a 13.5% increase from its 2011 population of 7,314.
All 640-acres of New Brighton have been master-planned. Residents can be assured the meticulous attention to detail that the community is built on will be followed through to completion when New Brighton will be home to over 10,000 people and 3,700 homes.
Located on a three-acre site, New Brighton Club is the centre of activities, offering:
- a wonderful 6,500 sq. ft. recreational space for programmed activities, community meetings and club events.
- tennis courts, volleyball and basketball courts,
- Children’s water play area
- ice-skating on the pleasure skating rink, stopping to warm up by the fire and hockey on a full-sized outdoor rink.
In addition to New Brighton’s sprawling 20-acre central park and pond, the community features spacious open green spaces including gardens, parks, tot-lots, pathways and three sites available for future school and playground developments. There is even a pathway that runs a complete loop around the pond – perfect for jogging and biking.
Construction is also underway on the New Brighton Regional Athletic Park, due for completion in Spring 2015. The outdoor park will serve the entire southeast quadrant of Calgary and will be home to:
- Four artificial-turf sports fields (two large enough for football and rugby; two for soccer, lacrosse, ultimate frisbee and field hockey)
- One natural-turf baseball diamond
- Change room and washroom facilities
- Pathway connections between fields and facilities
- A regional trail to connect the park to the community

New Brighton is just five minutes from South Trail Crossing and the shops, services and restaurants found there:

New Brighton has five sites available for future school development. In the meantime, children can attend the following schools:
